Our flight training program follows a carefully designed sequence that guides you step-by-step on your journey to becoming a pilot. Each lesson builds your skills and confidence, turning first take-offs into smooth circuits and, before you know it, your very own solo flights.
All training takes place in our dedicated training area, giving you the freedom to explore while learning essential navigation skills. With clear landmarks and guided instruction from your experienced instructor, you’ll quickly feel at home in the sky.
It’s not just training, it’s an adventure. Your pilot journey starts here! ✈️
on ground briefing
Before you even step into the cockpit, your instructor will walk you through an interactive pre-flight briefing. You’ll learn what the exercise involves, what you’ll be practicing in the air, and how it all fits into your journey toward becoming a pilot.
This is your chance to ask questions and build your pilot theory knowledge. By the time you’re ready for take-off, you’ll know exactly what to expect — and you’ll be eager to put your new skills into action up in the sky!
in the air
Your training flights are designed to flow naturally, with some exercises combined to make the most of your time in the air. The sequence may change depending on weather conditions and your individual progress, ensuring every flight is safe, productive, and enjoyable.
No two lessons are the same, each flight builds on your skills, keeping the experience fresh, engaging, and rewarding as you move closer to becoming a confident pilot.
FLIGHT PREP, GROUND HANDLING, RADIO EQUIPMENT AND PROCEDURES
A hands-on introduction to the basics of the aircraft and flight training, building the knowledge and skills that set the foundation for everything to come.
EFFECTS OF CONTROL
Discover how the aircraft responds to your inputs as you learn the primary and secondary effects of the controls and how they work together in flight. It’s your first real taste of mastering the machine!
STRAIGHT AND LEVEL
Learn how to maintain balance, precision, and control as you guide the aircraft steadily through the air.
CLIMBING AND DESCENDING
Learn how to smoothly climb and descend at different speeds and rates, giving you precise control of the aircraft’s height and performance. This exercise builds confidence in managing the aircraft through different phases of flight.
TURNING
Develop confident turning skills as you practice turns at different bank angles, including level, climbing, and descending turns.
STALLS
Learn to recognise the signs of an approaching stall and recover safely and smoothly recover with a minimum loss of height. This training strengthens your understanding of the aircraft and improves your overall control and awareness in the air.
CIRCUITS AND CIRCUIT EMERGENCIES
Learn how to take off, land, and fly a standard circuit. These lessons bring together everything you have already been taught. You’ll refine your radio use, improve your decision-making, and practise handling circuit emergencies as you prepare for one of the biggest milestones in flight training, your first solo.
FIRST SOLO FLIGHT
Once you’ve demonstrated consistent skill and confidence, your instructor will authorise your first solo take-off and landing. Flying the aircraft on your own for the first time is an unforgettable moment and a highlight of every pilot’s journey.
You will never forget this lesson!
SOLO CIRCUITS
Build experience and confidence as you fly solo circuits, practising and reinforcing everything you’ve learned while continuing to develop smooth, safe, and consistent flying skills.
CROSS-WIND CIRCUITS
Learn the skills needed to take off and land safely in gusty and cross-wind conditions, building confidence and precision in challenging weather.
FORCED LANDINGS
Learn the procedures for departing and arriving at any aerodrome and how to handle an emergency in the training area. This training prepares you for unexpected situations in a controlled environment.
PRE-FLIGHT TEST & REVISION
You will undertake your pre-flight test and revision of all sequences and advanced emergencies. This lesson is a revision of all you have learnt plus the addition of other emergencies you may encounter ensuring you’re confident, skilled, and ready for anything the skies may throw at you.
FLIGHT TEST CHECK
After a final flight test check, you’ll undertake your official Flight Test. Passing this milestone earns you your Recreational Pilot Certificate and marks the start of your journey as a certified pilot.
